Any youth in crisis may enter a Fire Station and ask for help. Family Resources’ Youth and Family Connection program established the "Safe Place" network for Pinellas County in 1991. Safe place is a nationally recognized runaway prevention and outreach program. This unique and highly effective program works through a network of established businesses, fire stations, and other public locations displaying the distinctive yellow and black "Safe Place" logo on their premises. All Pinellas Suncoast Fire and Rescue stations are "Safe Place" locations. If you would like to establish your place of work or business call the North County shelter: 449-8336 or the South County shelter :384-8336. or click HERE to visit the Family Resources Web Site |
