Crews and staff at Pinellas Suncoast Fire & Rescue decorated their reserve engine and squad and set up a replenishment area at Station 27 in Indian Rocks Beach in support of the walkers who took part in the Susan G. Komen “3-Day for the Cure” event. On Friday, October 29, the walkers started at Sand Key and traveled a 20-mile route that took them right in front of the fire station. Decorated all in pink ribbons and bows, the replenishment area offered ice cold bottled water, candy, and spritz of water from pink spray bottles. Walkers clad in everything from tutus to bras stopped to have their pictures taken with the firefighters. The firefighters and volunteers of Pinellas Suncoast were eager to offer their enthusiasm and support for this worthwhile cause.
